Summary: Spent one night at the Woolshed Eco Lodge. Originally booked a room with ensuite. Understably the owner was showing a guest the room we had just booked, so accepted that these things happen. Got a room without facilities a Deluxe Double for $30 less. This was the only room available.
The walls were very thin and could hear coughing and unfortunately i ended up asking a couple to be quiet at 1:20am as it just got too much to bear. There was no wardrobe, drawers, etc. Shared toilets and showers need attention as they are getting very old. Nowhere to leave clothes towels soap once inside the shower cubile. I think all will be knocked down soon and replaced with new premises. May help explain condition. Deluxe double? May be worth $30 a night, not $100. Buyer beware.

Summary: Not many hostels in Hervey Bay but if you’re looking for an eco-friendly option this is the place. The girl at reception was nice, helped me out with some things and just good chat. Rooms are clean although a bit worn down. But then again it has pretty affordable pricing. Enough amenities to get your solo travel sorted out and nearby the beach.
