While in the area, walk along Urangan’s famous pier at sunset, which stretches more than 800m across the water. This is also the departure point for whale-watching tours and the ferry to Fraser Island. Check out the Pier Park Community Markets, held each Wednesday and Saturday (7 am-1 pm) and the Hervey Bay Botanic Gardens. Dine along the waterfront at Aquavue and Salt Café.
