This cottage is designed for a couple's getaway, a small family or up to six people if a couple of them are willing to sleep the couches. The feel is modern-chic with a lot of rustic wood touches. Designed and built by a local Homer craftsman specializing in artistic designs, this cottage has a charm that is both appealing to the eye, yet comfortable for the soul. The views over the Cook Inlet lead to the Alaska Range in the distance, with views of world famous Mount Augustine lighting up the skyline. Moose, lynx, and porcupine frequent the neighborhood, and the absence of city lighting leaves the skies clear and bright at night.
The master bedroom is ideal for a couple to enjoy their own privacy. The second "bedroom" has been purposely designed as an open space, with flexibility in the layout of accessory sleeping quarters for a larger group. Two single beds are separated by a fireplace, and the super-comfortable couch can be converted to two seperate beds...giving space for up to six people.
