Nearby Blue Hill is a quaint Maine town clinging to the waters edge. The smell of Bucklyn Coffee, an incredible local coffee roaster, slinging coffees and local doughnuts through a small window on your way into town is the start of your welcome. Restaurants offering local fare make your stay taste as good as it looks and the small but thriving art scene offers galleries to peruse. Staying in Blue Hill also puts you in a perfect position to explore other nearby foodie gems such as the Blue Hill Co-op, famed Acadia House Provisions in Stonington, the Brooklin Inn, Tinderhearth for destination worthy bread and pizza, the incredible Aragosta in Deer Isle, and Perry's Lobster on Newburryneck. You are also 20 minutes from Downtown Ellsworth where you can visit the LL Bean outlet, visit John Edwards natural grocery, and can stock up on all your basic necessities. And of course, you are only a 45 minute drive from Acadia National park and on the doorstep of countless miles of pure Maine coastline.
You will have access to the entire home, patio (including fire pit) and yard, as well as access to the private beach a short 5 minute walk away. The beach belongs to a local resident who generously makes it available to the small community of East Blue Hill and its visitors. Please be respectful of this special beach and the local residents so that it remains available for use long in to the future. Areas we ask you to not use include a room for our personal property connected to the master suit walk in closet, the items in the basement, and the items in the garage.
