THE VILLA .In the Strofilia Forest α NATURA AND RAMSAR PROTECTED AREA is a 200m2 private Villa, in a field of 12.000 m2 with olive,orange,lemon,apricot,pine and other trees, 4 double comfortable bedrooms,3 bathrooms one ensuite,fully equipped kitchen with all utencils,sitting room with the original fire place built 2 centuries ago,dining room inside the house,another dining area at the veranda,another one at the garden under the coconut and the trees,and a/c,ceiling fan,double glaze windows,wi-fi,satellite tv in every room,BBQ,traditional wood oven,3 parking spaces,very quiet,in walking distance (320 meters) or 900 meters by car to the excellent beach with 'blue flag' for crystal waters,very close to tavernas with local fish and meat.Villa Dunes is well situated at the end of a private road under the hills ,away from noises offering the desirable quietness and relaxing environment for living luxuriously in nature.
Villa Dunes is the last house on the way to the beach between lake Prokopos and the sea in the Strofilia Forest offers the exceptional environment for privacy .The best part of the sandy beach is reachable via a private footpath through the forest and the dunes (7 minutes),and the same footpath leads to an almost private sandy beach in 15 min walk.(see photos).
The entire villa was totally and luxuriously renovated in 2014 by the owner.
THE AREA.Situated at the edge of the unique and famous environment of Strofilia pine forest in a protected by NATURA and RAMSAR convention area with lots of wild birds,turtles,insects,rats and other wild and protected animals,surrounded by Prokopos lake on one side with many birds and fish,and the 9,5 klm sandy beach on the other side awarded the "blue flag" from Europe for crystal clear waters, is the ideal place for walking,bicycles,bird and fish watching ,offering the opportunity to live in a natural environment,yet close to lots of amenities and sports.There are tennis court,swimming pool and water games in short distance while beach parties are common every weekend.
There are bakeries,groceries,many supermarkets and 2 Health centers and pharmacies in less than 20 kilometers and 3 big hospitals in Patras (35 kilometers).Nice and fairly cheap tavernas offer local fresh meat and fish all around the Villa or at nearby villages,while the area is well known for producing melons,watermelons,fresh beans,aubergines and strawberries.The sandy beach extends for 9.5 klm along the Strofilia Forest and 3 canteens with parasols and beach chairs are spread across.Parasols and beach chairs are also offered by Villa Dunes for isolation across the beach awarded every year by the "blue flag" of European inspection as the clearest and calm beach at West Peloponnese .
WHAT TO VISIT.Olympia is 40 minutes drive towards Pyrgos,Delphi 90 minutes drive through Nafpactos and picturesque Galaxidi,Pilos 90 minutes drive through Pyrgos -Kiparissia,Killini and then to Kefalonia or Zakynthos island 15 minutes drive,and Mega Spilaio about 90 minutes through Aigio-Diakofto-Kalavrita or by the unique smallest train in Europe that climbs up with its "teeth" to the mountains.
