Summary: The hotel is somewhat run down. However, looking at the other hotels in Valdez, which also appear rundown, this hotel was average. The baseboard heater made it hard to adjust the room temperature. The largest issue we had was that the mattress is actually about 6” larger than the frame underneath. It caused the edge of the bed to fold over. This should be fixed by replacing the frames with the correct size.
