Summary: We (me Trophy Husband) abruptly had our plans changed (thanks Alaska Marine Hwy System) and quickly had to find a place to land for two nights. This place was absolutely perfect.
Pros: Large suites with everything needed to hunker down. We had two queen beds, two cozy chairs, a desk/dining table with two chairs, two burner electric stovetop, coffee pot, full size microwave and fridge, and everything you need to cook/eat simple meals with. Very helpful! I thoroughly enjoyed lounging in my jammies making breakfast for the two of us. There's an on-site laundry room ($4 to wash and $4 to dry, per load and you can get quarters at the front desk). Conveniently located on the main street, its walkable to everything. Surprisingly quiet. Excellent customer service with friendly, hard working employees!
Cons: It's pricier than the other option in town but you definitely get more amenities. No breakfast (because you have a kitchen kids).
If you want to have a place more like home, this is the spot for you.

Summary: The low rating was primarily because of the general manager, confrontational from the start . She attempted to continually tell me who I booked the reservation through which was not correct after I confirmed that through an outside party.
We were double charged for our stay which we are now contesting.

Summary: The hotel is not staffed after 10pm. Our toilet broke at 10:15pm on first night. We called the energency number and no one answered. Never. We called for hours. We ended up jimmy rigging it to work with a spare keychain to connect the flusher
As it broke off while still partially connected. We also found a moldy coffee filter packet in our coffee maker.. so that was gross.

Summary: When the Alaska Marine Highway System ferry arrived over an hour after midnight, hotel staff were there to quickly check in a queue of weary travelers. Room was clean. Our cooler was low on ice, so the full-size refrigerator in the kitchenette was welcome. Ate our own food for breakfast to get on the road quickly next morning. Clean room with a tub, always bonus.

Summary: 9 minute drive from the ferry. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Even has dishes and toaster in kitchenette. Sled dogs in truck kennel in parking lot.
