Positive: We stayed 12 nights at this beautiful accommodation in the Maldives, and overall, it was a pleasant experience, but with several downsides that affected our comfort and which we consider important to mention for future improvement. Positive aspects: The room is very spacious, clean, with a nice design and an outdoor shower that adds a special charm. The courtyard is beautiful, with many plants and a relaxing atmosphere. The person responsible for maintenance, cleaning, and cooking is extremely kind and hardworking – practically the only one keeping everything running, which deserves appreciation. Bicycles are offered for free. There’s also a washing machine available, though with some limitations. The boat and car transfer was organized by the accommodation – a useful service, even if not without issues. Aspects that need improvement: • Upon arrival, there were not enough bicycles, and we never knew if we would manage to get one or not; • Although the listing on Booking stated that taxes were included, we were charged a price 17% higher upon arrival. We’re not sure whether the issue was with Booking or the accommodation, but it created confusion; • Breakfast is only served between 8:00 and 9:00, which is restrictive. The menu was below expectations: tuna with beans, boiled eggs, omelets, dried tuna, and the fruits were not tropical, just regular ones. The combination caused us digestive discomfort; • Cleaning is not done daily, as advertised, but every two days. Because of this, on the second morning, I woke up with ants on my face and pillow. We had to buy insect spray; • On two occasions, the water was cut off while we were in the room, and we couldn’t use the toilet; • There is only one washing machine, used by both guests and staff, which is not enough.
