Nafpaktos. Situated on the north shore of the Corinthian gulf, it is one of Greece's most naturally beautiful locations. The landscape combines both mountainous terrain covered in rich vegetation on the north side, and to the south, a long coastal shore boasting numerous amazing shallow-water beaches with turquoise-blue waters. As if this was not enough, the area is surrounded and bound by ancient history. The city of Nafpaktos itself has a long history leading back to before the ancient Peloponnesian wars, and its castle-fortress is one of the best preserved in Greece. A plethora of historical sites surround this area at every step, almost towards any direction. Only a few kilometers to the east, up in the mountains lie the ruins of the ancient temple of Delphi. The oracle that presided there in ancient times was considered the most important in all of classical Greek history, and visiting is a ''must'' even in modern times...
The villa itself lies 13 km from the city of Nafpaktos, and 500 meters from the sea, overlooking the village and beach of Skaloma (approx. 2 min drive away). When raising your sight, you will behold the mesmerizing Corinthian gulf’s twinkling waters washing up on the proud Peloponnesian mountains.
Villa ART is a two level villa consisting of two homes; ART 1 on the ground level, and ART 2 on the upper level. ART 1, has an open plan living room with comfortable sofas and furnishings; an indoor dining area for six; a fully-equipped kitchen; and large French windows leading to the garden which offers a spectacular sea view. There are two double bedrooms; the spacious Master Bedroom leading to the garden with wonderful sea views; and a second double bedroom also with views to the sea and the garden. Finally, 2 specially made bedrooms for groups and children, complete with bunk-beds, are arranged for optimum comfort and facility.
ART 2 is spectacularly positioned on the upper level with panoramic views right out over the Gulf of Corinth and Patraikos. Upon entering, the large open living areas strike the eye first with elegant and comfortable style and décor. The impressive dining table for 10 guests lit by beautiful hand-blown colorful glass lamps leads to a very stylish modern kitchen. Vast glass doors lead to the terrace which boasts spectacular views over the sea. The Master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and French windows leads to a balcony overlooking the garden. Across the hallway is the 2nd double bedroom also with a very spacious en-suite bathroom. This bedroom view overlooks a quiet corner of the garden shaded by ancient olive trees with lovely glimpses of the sea through the trees.
Throughout the decor is elegant, stylish and comfortable; The owner’s artistic flair is evident through large modern artworks on the walls and interesting touches such as the hand-built tables made out of beautiful antique reclaimed doors.
Outside, is where you will probably be spending most of your time, and rightfully so. The extra-large lawn garden, complete with a variety of trees and flowers, is perfect for strolling, child’s play, or even dining on the stone table while enjoying the extraordinary view. The swimming pool is just the thing when you need to cool off before lounging on the sunbeds, built-in sofas, or getting the barbeque started.
Although you will be hard-pressed to leave this magnificent property, its location is perfect for exploring the immensely interesting surrounding area. There are more than enough activities, historical and cultural attractions, and sites to satisfy even the most demanding guest. Several lovely beaches, fresh fish taverns, archaeological/historical sites (Delphi, Olympia, city-fort of Nafpaktos etc), watersport and fishing activities, are within a short driving distance. You may not like to move a finger during your holidays, or you may be the sort of person who can’t stay still; whatever the case, you will surely not be disappointed by this marvelous, all-encompassing villa and its location.
