Accessible via a scenic walk across the concrete footbridge and following the left track, or by crossing underneath the bridge and tracing the shallow creek for about 3 minutes, this wide swimming hole offers depths of roughly 2 meters in its deepest section.
For those seeking adventure or a quieter escape, the Stoney Creek Walking Track to Old Weir Falls offers a scenic hike to a larger, more secluded waterfall. Accessible by taking the straight track from the footbridge fork, this roughly 20-minute trek leads you to the picturesque Old Weir Falls. Framed by a large fallen tree, the waterfall cascades roughly 8 meters down a rocky face onto a serene sand-lined shore. While the water may not be as deep as at the swimming hole, it provides a peaceful setting to unwind and enjoy nature. Additionally, there's a deeper swimming hole just above Old Weir and several other scenic spots scattered along the track.
