Summary: The property was a great location for our family of four - two adults and two kids (ages 4 and 6)! It is a two minute walk to the beautiful Four Mile beach where walked during sunrise and sunset. The property was private and has a large private yard where we would play ball, watch the wallabies and sit outside for breakfast and dinner listening to and watching all the birds. It was a 5 minute drive to the lifeguarded beach which was perfect for families as well as a 5 minute drive to the marina, where we took two trips to the Great Barrier Reef from. The house was very clean, stocked with cutlery, dishes, towels (including beach towels) and it was the small things that made a difference: having cooking supplies, condiments, and some supplies to get you started (shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, clothesline, dish soap, etc). John was a fantastic host, connecting with us as we checked in and providing many great suggestions on activities and things to do for our family. We really appreciated having the direct connection to him if needed, especially not being from Australia and being in Port Douglas for the very first time! Thanks John for the great stay!
