Heron island is accessible by boat and helicopter from gladstone. the boat transfer will depart gladstone marina for heron island at 09:30 daily, except tuesdays and thursdays. the return boat transfer will depart from heron island at 12:45 daily, except tuesdays and thursdays. the heron islander will not be operating on christmas day, 25 december. the cost of the transfer on the heron islander is au $99 per adult each way and au $80 per child each way. please contact the heron island reservations team to book your boat transfer or inquire about the cost of a scenic helicopter transfer. please note there is no mobile phone coverage on heron island. an environmental management charge (emc) of au $8 per person per day (for guests 5 years and older) to a maximum of au $24 per person per stay will be charged direct to guests. price is subject to change.guests are required to show a photo id and credit card upon check-in. please note that all special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply, please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation, guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.
