Sitting in a little private enclave on a gentle hillside, just outside the sleepy village of Spartohori, Aquarius is a comfortable and welcoming home with views across olive groves to the sea and rugged peaks of the Western Greece mainland.
Well-proportioned throughout, the ground floor is predominantly open plan with a kitchen to one end of the living/dining area plus two bedrooms, a double and a twin on either side. Having their own direct access to the pool terrace keeps all three of these rooms light and inviting with a bathroom completing facilities on this level.
Upstairs, the double bedroom has an en suite bathroom as well as two separate outdoor areas to enjoy: a balcony and a spacious terrace to one side which is a particularly lovely spot from which to admire the sea views.
Essential amenities, a popular family-run taverna and one of the island’s most spectacular viewpoints can be found just 750m away in Spartohori, or a ten minute drive will bring you to a more comprehensive choice of shops, bars and pretty waterfront restaurants at Vathy which, while referred to as the island capital, is surely the place where the term ‘laid-back’ originated!
Wherever you are on relaxing Meganisi you are never far from the coast for a languid dip in the tempting turquoise waters! And with so many lovely little coves and tree-fringed bays to discover all around the scenic coastline you may never need to visit the same spot twice.
