The house provides easy access to 147km of walking tracks in Lamington National Park - one of Queensland's oldest and best loved National Parks. Three decks overlook the Coomera Valley. The house sleeps 4 adults in two bedrooms each with en suite plus a kids loft which sleeps two children up to 10 years of age. Groups of more than 4 adults can hire both East and West houses to sleep 8 or a nearby Binna Burra Skylodge to sleep more. All rooms including the spacious dining and lounge areas overlook the amazing view.
The space
A gas fireplace and bedroom heaters keep the house warm in winter. At 900 metres above sea level the house is always 5 degrees cooler than the coast or Brisbane in summer. Air conditioning is not needed and ceiling fans add to the mountain breezes.
Guest access
Guests have sole use of the house. The separate laundry and the heated outdoor magnesium spa are shared with one other house.
Other things to note
Multiple windows, and decks allow you interact with nature as much as possible. There are no curtains to hide the views so you might like to take eye masks if you prefer to wake in the dark. The house is inside the National Park so pets are not permitted and the house is NOT a party house. Most visitors to the mountain top go there for the peace and quiet.
